"Curvy Widow Seeks Playmate," the voluptuously curvy Cybill Shepherd pronounces triumphantly from her seat at a laptop as the words roll out on a screen behind her at typing speed. Fresh from the end of a six-year affair with a married man, her one romance following the death of her husband of 27 years, the 57-year-old title character in "Curvy Widow" is taking the plunge into cyberspace dating - with grit, determination, intelligence and what seems meant to be an infectious sense of humor. It isn't very funny, though not for want of trying - hard.

Acne Drug Accutane Ups Cholesterol
In a study involving almost 14,000, mostly young patients taking the drug, elevations in blood cholesterol, triglycerides (a blood fat), and a blood liver function test were more common than have been previously reported. Blood levels returned to normal or to pretreatment levels in the vast majority of patients in the months after they stopped taking Accutane, however. Researchers say this finding is reassuring, but they add that patients should be followed longer to see if there are long-term implications for cardiovascular and liver disease risk. "We do want to know if there are long-term consequences, but that was not a part of this research," researcher Michele Manos, PhD, MPH, tells WebMD. Doctors dont know what causes rosacea, which leaves sufferers faces red, but some dermatologists think they have a treatment for it. Patients are turning to laser treatment, which improves the condition up to 70 percent the first time, though it can leave bruising for nearly a week. That's literally where the blood vessels have exploded, which means they're going to disappear and disappear with not many treatments, dermatologist Kent Aftergut said. .
Assault at HRC Store
Sgt. Brett Parson, head of the Washington Metropolitan Police Department's special liaison units, including the Gay and Lesbian Liaison Unit (GLLU), and the Human Rights Campaign have confirmed a report that the HRC Corner Store and Action Center at 1633 Connecticut Ave. NW was robbed around 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18. An unnamed 23-year-old male working in the store was assaulted during the robbery, which netted approximately $400. Parson says the victim was pistol-whipped, suffering cuts and bruises to head, for which he was treated and released. Parson described the suspect as a black male in his mid 20s to early 30s, about 5'4'', 135 pounds, with a light complexion, clean-shaven, with minor acne scars on his chin. At the time of the robbery, the assailant was wearing a dark-green knit hat; a long, puffy black coat; black dress pants; and a tie.
