Hour of Lauer: Of the many unsolved mysteries in the case of Larry Craig, the greatest is simply, why won't he leave? He has no support left back home. He stands no chance in court. His entire party taps its feet, in vain, for him to go.

As Windows Server 2008 RTMs, Customers and Partners Adopting with Help ...

REDMOND, Wash., Feb. 4, 2008 –Approaching the company's largest enterprise launch in its history, Microsoft reached another important milestone today with the release to manufacturing (RTM) of Windows Server 2008. The response from IT professionals and developers has been strong as the company moves toward the worldwide launch of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 on February 27.

One indication of the momentum that is building around the latest server operating system is the number of beta and evaluation versions that customers and partners have obtained: more than two million.

IT professionals face increasing pressure from rapidly changing technology, increasing costs and security concerns, and expanding business needs. Windows Server 2008 helps alleviate these pressures by automating daily management tasks, tightening security, improving efficiency and increasing availability.

Swanni's HDTV Presidential Forecast!

Washington, D.C. (February 6, 2008) -- In 1960, Democratic Sen. John F. Kennedy defeated Vice President Richard Nixon in part because the latter failed to shave in the first presidential debate. Nixon's 5 o'clock shadow made him look unfriendly, if not downright sinister.

Can you imagine if the debate had aired in crystal-clear High-Definition TV? In fact, one could argue that Nixon would have never even been nominated for high office if the voters had first seen him in high-def.

Well, this year's debates are being broadcast in high-def by CNN -- and how the candidates look could be having an impact on the race.

High-Definition TV's picture is so precise that the facial imperfections and aging signs of TV personalities -- and presidential hopefuls -- are now visible to the naked eye.
