Court home after receiving a call about a domestic disturbance there, authorities said. When police arrived at the home just after 5 p.m. Thursday, Leon Murray opened a second-floor window and told police he had a gun, said Detective Sgt. Joseph Whitehead. Murray threatened to kill the officers so he could be on the news, police said. The Monmouth County Emergency Response Team was called, but before they arrived, the 50-year-old tried to jump head-first out of the window, police said. But police used a ladder to secure him, and then they took him into custody, Whitehead said. Murray was charged with terroristic threats and criminal mischief.
